Roger Vivier Spring/Summer 2022
Un court-métrage musical signé Gherardo Felloni et les Wuthering Cats
Why not close your eyes and get away from it all with a film, an image... Or a song?
To herald in its Spring/Summer 2022 collection, Roger Vivier delivers a declaration of love for music. The Maison presents Flooded, a musical short film featuring a theme song entitled "Floodland", composed and performed by Creative Director Gherardo Felloni.
Directed by Andrea Danese and inspired by Felloni's life, the film follows the story of a solitary young boy named Theo. Once "Floodland" starts to play, a whole phantasmagorical world opens up to him, filled with fabulous personalities who act as his guides, including the exceptional Isabella Rossellini. In Flooded, she plays a whimsical yet timelessly elegant icon, reflecting the image of Maison Roger Vivier itself. Her humour inspired the rest of the casting, including that of up-and-coming star of French cinema, Vassili Schneider, for the role of Theo. The other actors share Rossellini's same piquant sense of glamour, with performances by Anna Cleveland, Sandra Milo, Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi, Pippo Franco, Annabelle Belmondo, Marina Rocco and Sveva Alviti.
Presenting Spring/Summer 2022
Flooded showcases the bold spirit of the Spring/Summer 2022 collection. Just like the high, gold-toned gladiator sandals designed by Monsieur Roger Vivier and adorned with a buckle by Gherardo Felloni, the collection skilfully walks a fine line between antique pieces and sci-fi aesthetics. The Viv'Choc bag is brought centre-stage in a variety of materials and joyful colours. Jewellery creations worn by Isabella Rossellini feature cat motifs, perhaps in reference to Duetto buffo di due gatti, Rossini’s mischievous aria that imitates cats meowing. Today's world is in dire need of some extra fun and this collection delivers it.
