A Bold Spirit
The Spring/Summer 2022 collection is brimming with bold spirit, coupled with the Maison's expert craftsmanship and distinct savoir-faire. Creative Director Gherardo Felloni has reimagined iconic designs, such as gladiator sandals in metallic gold with two-toned crystals adorning the straps, along with an oversized crystal buckle. Each crystal is carefully placed on by hand and each leather strap is cut with precision to result in this gorgeously crafted creation. Walking a fine line between antique pieces and sci-fi flair, the collection again places the Viv' Choc centre-stage in a variety of materials and joyful colours. Handcrafted in Italy, its latest permutations perfectly blend tradition and innovation. They explore diverse materials, patterns and designs while staying true to the Maison’s codes of creativity, rarity and exclusivity, with the new jewel buckle as the shining star of each exquisite masterpiece.
Other key pieces for the season include the Cube Strass heel and the Viv' Go-Thick slip-ons. The Cube Strass is an homage to the iconic boule strass heel designed for Marlene Dietrich, now reinterpreted in a sleekly geometric, crystal-paved version. The slip-ons take their cue from the punk phenomenon that shaped 50s fashion. Meanwhile, the jewellery creations feature cat motifs, perhaps in reference to Duetto buffo di due gatti, Rossini’s mischievous aria that imitates cats meowing. Today's world is in dire need of some extra fun and this collection delivers it.
