Camille Razat and the Belle Vivier

The face of the Fall/Winter campaign

The contemporary spirit of the Belle Vivier

French actress Camille Razat stars in the Belle Vivier campaign for the Fall/Winter 2022 collection: a playful and delicate new portrait of the Roger Vivier woman. In her second collaboration with Roger Vivier, the actress of Emily In Paris embodies the contemporary spirit of the Belle Vivier shoe, one of the brand’s most iconic models. The mood of the campaign is cheerful yet refined; it was shot in Paris by photographer Étienne Baret, Razat’s boyfriend. A friend of the House and of its Creative Director Gherardo Felloni, Razat effortlessly embodies the carefree and sophisticated Parisian femininity — stylish, with a humorous approach to fashion.

The iconic style

The unique silhouette of the Belle Vivier, feminine and sophisticated, yet timeless. The Belle Vivier shoe is a fashion must-have, one of the iconic models of the House. It was originally designed by Monsieur Vivier himself in 1965, as part of the Mondrian collection of Yves Saint Laurent. Immediately adopted by style icons like Jackie Kennedy, Audrey Hepburn and Sophia Loren, the Belle Vivier became famous when Catherine Deneuve wore them in Luis Buñuel’s movie Belle de Jour. Ever since, the low-heel pump with a metal buckle has symbolized the sensuality and freedom of women. A recurring icon throughout the Roger Vivier collections, the Belle Vivier is regularly revisited by Creative Director Gherardo Felloni. Every season, the shoe is reinterpreted to feature the current collection’s inspiration, while retaining its powerful, timeless fascination. For this season, the Belle Vivier comes in either pumps or slingbacks, each in flashy, pop colors.
